# Winter 1236

Una, Dean, and Hiccup go to investigate some trouble at the mines.  
Several miners have gone lost on the deeper levels, and the income
if down 50%.

They meet Jimmy, a strange young man who wants to be at most a
foot away from those he is talking to.

In the mines, they hear the *knockers* and barely escape from a 
collapsing tunnel.

# Summer 1236

**Cast** Phil, Tullius, Maine, Claudio, sir Richard and his mercenaries

Philippedes returns to Scotland to seek his father.

Phil provides Maine with a Brooch of Flight.

The arrive at the Island of the Six Arts and are attacked by 
what looks like drowned sailors.  They kill three of them,
but there seems to be more of them lurking between the rocks.
Somebody casts an InVi spell and notices some glare of vis
from their faces, without investigating this further.

Maine goes to talk to a drowned man sitting on a rock
in the woods.  He uses an InCo spell to know that his
lungs are full of seawater and he has not been alive
for a long time.

Exploring the Island of the Six Arts, they find a regio in three levels.
They enter by kneeling in front of the statues, which look like dead trees
at the mundane level.

The statues that do not keep the gates of the regio, give vis.  The 
characters collect 1p Intellego (a tear), 2p Rego (pebbles), and
1p Creo (a leaf).  They also harvest 20 eyes from the revenants, each
worth 1p Corpus.

They find three burned logs containing spell vis.  Burning them, they
see three stories from Vitor's life, including his attempt to comprehend
the runes on the obelisks.

After the island they travel up the valley to find Vitor in a Mystic Tower.  He is rather secretive.  Apparently he has got some secrets of longevity from Brude Deathless but regrets it.  He is now locked to the land and locked to Brude.  He gifts Vitor with a badly bound Corpus tractatus.
