**Crintera**, the Domus Magna of House Bjornaer, is hidden in a multi level regio deep in the forests on the isle of Rugen.

There are only six permanent resident magi are the members of the Bjornaer council, each a representative of one of the six **clans** that make up the house.

- **Istvan Padas** Seat of the Horse. Representative of clan **Maruhs**. Hawthorn Guild (Wilderist).
- **Phyllia** Seat of the Eagle. Representative of clan **Arelie**. Hawthorn Guild (Wilderist).
- **Ardea** Seat of the Swan. Chief of clan **Iltefu**. Hawthorn Guild (Wilderist).

Iltefu is the smallest of the Bjornaer clans, there are only 7 members.

+ **Artal**. Recently gauntleted, initially apprenticed to Phillipa of clan Sirnas. Stayed at Crintera, studying under Ardea.

1. Peacocks are native to the Indian subcontinent. The Romans farmed them for meat but they are not likely to have survived the dark ages in Europe, except maybe the extreme south-east - Peacocks might exist in Constantinople.
