Appearance
Erasmus is pale, shortish, and a little rounded in his feature, but his smile is warm and compassionate. He is neither strong nor dexterous, and tends to avoid physical labour if he can. In coversation, in contrast, he carries himself with assertion and confidence.
He wears the robes and tonsures of his station.
Advancement
Backstory
Erasmus was born in one of the church towns surrounding the Forest of the Humming Stone. He started early to serve the vicar as a choir boy, who taught him the letters, the most elementary letters, and theology. Demonstrating the right piety and aptitude, he was sent to the Cathedral See for further studies before he entered his teens. Rising quickly in the ranks to exorcist, he took a particular interest in the influences of the infernal and how to fight it.
Once he has been up against a particularly nasty demon, who had possessed a citizen. It came as a surprise, and the first attempts were unsuccessful. Erasmus’ faith was strained, but not broken, and he sought advice from the canon. Gifted with a powerful relic, he approached the demon again and successfully expelled it.
Now, Erasmus is recently ordained to acolyte, but he maintains his great his interest and driving conviction to fight demons where they emerge. Then the message came about a menace in the forest, and he asked for leave to return to his home turf to help.
