Autumn 1241: The Army from Connacht

Session 1. 28 September

• Conlae and Broin search for lost cattle.
• Beibhinn joins to look after the orchard.
• Somebody has camped and harvested in the orchard.
• They meet Jimmy who tell them about an army rallying near the mines.
• After talking to the magi, they go with Jimmy to talk to the army.
• The army leader says that they have no conflict with the covenant and are just passing through to Killaloe.
• In the meantime, sir Roland visits the covenant to tell them about a new vision, like the ones 17 years prior, and he asks for help against these hedge wizards.
• Learning of the rallying army, sir Roland leaves in haste to prepare his defence.

Session 2. 5 October

• They come across a group cutting fruits and leaves from the trees.
  • an unarmed man with a sickle
  • two big brutes with helbards
  • two archers
• The party confronts them and Beibhinn is concerned about the tree.
• The helbardiers block the way and the man with the sickle agrees to finish up quickly and depart, which they do.
• The harvesters go across the valley to camp in the woods.
• The party makes camp to keep watch outside the woods.
