Spring

The Haunted Ship

• In early Spring of 1229, a few events happen more or less at the same time.
• Rumors from Stockholm say that a haunted ship has been spotted just off the harbour, and those who have boarded it, to try and find its secrets, since it seemed unmanned, have disappeared, after the ship itself suddenly disappeared into an unnatural fog.
• An old man starts yelling in the market that the end if night, and that only the ‘wizards’ can save them. He is arrested, and sent to the dungeon.
• Jenico starts experiencing dreams where he relives the battle of Constantinople, specifically, the attack when he lost his arm, and in his dream, he sees a strange flying ship, raining fire on the defenders of the wall.
• Jeppe also experiences strange dreams, of a crown, that will allow him to command great power, and wealth.

Ilse’s Brother

Sure. A letter arrives to the covenant, addressed to all the magi by name. It is from Bengt (Chancellor of Sweden and Bishop of Skara), asking for an update on your search for Thies (Ilse’s brother):

We are pleased that your Order has not chosen to become troublesome in our Kingdom, but if your continued presence on the Malaren is to be tolerated, it is time for you to demonstrate your utility to our King. I will be at the palace by Sigtuna from April the —th. Please deliver your report to me in person at your earliest convenience.
