Covenants of Stonehenge during the Schism

Canon Covenants

From Heirs to Merlin.

  • Covenants surviving the Schism
    • Semitae (?-) wandering. This mysterious covenant has stayed out of the war. They have typially been three magi throughout history.
    • Blackthorn (818-) in South Wales Blackthorn, backed by House Tremere, has been able to replenish their numbers with new magi from Transylvania. Probably 5-6 magi before they found Tagelyn.
    • Cad Gadu (815-) in Wales Cad Gadu is large, with many members staying out of the politics of the Order. Yet several members fell in the War. Maybe eight members at present.
    • Castrum Antiquum (851-1030/31) on Hadrian’s Wall With 2-3 magi surviving, they barely survive.
    • Lux Draconis (915-1100) in the Pennines With 2-3 magi surviving, they barely survive.
    • Ungulus (984-) in the Lake District. A Flambeau stronghold in the Schism War, they have suffered badly. Maybe three magi surviving
  • Fallen Covenants
    • The Nameless Covenant (817-1011) in South Wales
    • Roma Nova (946-1008) in Kent
    • Lumen (998-1003) in Mercia
  • New Covenants
    • Tagelyn (1014-1062) in South Wales. By 4ed canon, Tagelyn was spawned by Blackthorn, including some of their own apprentices as members. Since Tremere did not join multi-house covenants at that time, it would be an all-Tremere covenant. However, it is doubtful that Tremere, losing half their numbers in the Schism, would be able to do this in 1014. More likely, a number of magi came from Transylvania to help build the power base in Stonehenge.

With the above numbers, there are 23-26 magi in Stonehenge, not counting surviving Diedne, and continental magi taking part in the war. The three covenants in Northumbria may have a few more magi than stated in 1013, as they still sustain losses in the last four years of the War.
