Supernatural Major Virtue
The virtue grants the supernatural ability Telepathy. This virtue could replace one or more of the standard virtues of the Folk Witch, to create a new hedge tradition.
Ability
The Telepathy ability allows the character to convey a message to another person. The target hears the message as if the telepath speaks `inside their head’. An unknowing target may think that the they hear actual sound, although the voice is eerie and possibly scary. Targets familiar with telepathy will recognise the voice as such.
Characters without the ability can also call the telepath mentally. The telepath cannot read thoughts of an unwilling target, but thoughts willfully directed at them can be perceived.
To convey a message to a single target with eye contact, roll Telepathy+Presence 3+. This is subject to Magic Resistence as usual, and counts as a Mentem effect. To receive a message at eye range, roll Telepathy+Perception 9+. The ease factors are modified as follows.
- Recipient knows telepathy -3
- Recipient has the Gift -3
- Group target (instead of individual) +9
- Sight range (instead of eye) +3
- Arcane Connection Range (instead of eye) +6
