Covenant Library

The Library of Elk’s Run is one of the foremost collections of the history of Ireland anywhere in Europe at this point (1). It is housed in a high ceiling, stone building at the heart of the covenant grounds and occupies the main floor (2). It has one of the fineist Scriptoriums in the Tribunal (3), but Oswald’s obessive collecting means the covenant is unable to utilise it to earn extra silver (4). Its flaw is the lack of specialised collections for Hermetic Arts or supporting Arcane Abilities, which often surprises visiting magi (5).

The scriptorium building also houses Vivianus’ sanctum and living quarters for the library staff on the ground floor, and a council room on the gallery above the scriptorium and library. The scriptorium itself occupies the entire main floor, with a high ceiling except for under the surrounding galleries.

This page describes the open library. It is suspected that Oswald maintains a second library which is closed to junior members.

He wrote down the little he got a chance to see on the island. The last chapter is, unsurprisingly, an apocalyptic horror story. This last chapter is quite a good read, just not very educational. Evidently, Uther was a better storyteller than teacher. 1
