First session

• Party at the Winter Solstice

• Norse refugees come visiting

• Ercc needs to find a sword

  • The pilgrimidge if the 5 churches must begin on the Saints feast day… if the Crone is to be beleived.
  • The sword is “storm cutter”, a sword set with powerful enchanted stones… it has powers, even healing itself just two years ago when a long cracked stone healed on Ragnar Lodbrok’s birthday

• Saint Finbar of Cork

  • St. Finbar is the patron Saint of Cork, and was a well known healer.
  • The five reliquaries of St. Finbar, Patron Saint of Cork, are actually five powerful reliquary rings that all have health related properties, and each of them cannot be physically separated from the desiccated finger segment of the saint himself. He wore them all on his right hand but willed each ring to a different student of his, provided they promise to support pilgrimage to them. Each of the five was instructured to open their own church somewhere in Ireland…. Most chose Cannaught, one Munster.

Second (when?) and Third Session 7 February

Polisis ex Jerbiton of Ashenrise was spying on Ercc’s party. He took a medical interest in the disease spirits, and thought Ercc might be responsible. Once he heard Ercc’s story, he was happy enough, and gifted him 30d, a valuable pearl, and 3p Corpus vis in chess pieces.

Fourth Session (21 February)

Ercc enters Cierella’s forest to ask her for advice about the tainted sword.

They meat Adan, the master scout among the crows of Cierella’s court. This time, they are allowed to the queen’s palace, which is surrounded by an elaborate guarden. They meet an old councillor who offers to make introductions. They have an interesting conversation, which makes the walk through the garden a long one. The palace looks as it is receding into the distance as they enjoy the walk.

Somebody has spoken my destiny, says Ercc.

Cierella has a smith, but they point him towards a smith on Iceland. There is a crystal bridge which they can use for easy travel. It is guarded on the far side by the bridge troll Rolf, and they have to answer a riddle to pass. He directs them to the inn, but the smithy is only two houses further, so they go directly there.

The smith has not been able to repair the sword. Some evil, demonic, black force seem to be attacking the blade. he points out that the seventh gem is not the original faerie one, but has been replaced by an Hermetic enchantment. Apart from the seventh gem, the sword is dwarven forged.

The smith is an old friend of Frida, the Oracle, and asks them to pass his regards.

On the return, the party passes through the inn, to take som books for Rolf. Rolf is lonely and has not seen travellers for years. He offers them one of his long read books as a Gift.

Returning to Elk’s Run, Ercc places the sword in a Circular Ward Against Demons, level 25, penetration 8.

Fifth session (28 February)

Ercc meets Bulvai

Ercc uses Leap of Homecoming to go and see Bulvai, using the sword as the arcane connection. He names three Hermetic magi who have visited Iceland, Darius, who is an old man, and Nemia and Olga, whom he has not met in person. As far as he knows, they have no covenant on Iceland, but stay with various noble courts.
