Sir Roland approaches the Covenant with his knights and soldiers. He challenges the magi which Marcus accepts and fights him in his bear form, causing a heavy wound and then accepting his request to stop.

Adelaine
Adelaine is a woman in her 30s, having served as a redcap for about a decade. She is due a new enchanted device, which Philippedes is commisioned to enchant. She brings:
- A lab text to invest a locket as a lesser enchanted device. An arcane connection can be put inside the locket, and if one firmly says «Home» while toching the locket, one is teleported to whereever the arcane connection connects. This is for Philippedes to keep if he desires.
- The locket to be enchanted, brass with a magnetic lock.
- 4p Corpus Vis for the enchantment
- The Corpus Hermeticum, the Branch of Corpus, L19Q16, on loan for five years.

The Warlocks from Connacht
Sir Roland visits to see if we can identify the wizards in his vision. We do indeed find them, preparing to cast a ritual from a location sympathetically linked to Killaloe, halfway between the covenant and the village at the lakeshore.
Two wizards were killed, and three captured.

The ritual was part of the warfare by Connacht against sir Roland’s family, the King of Munster.

The redcaps are able to provide sound summæ in any art. Low-level except Animal, Mentem, and Terram (L11ish) for 15pvf. Mid-level except intellego (L15ish) for 21pvf. High-level except Animal, Aquam, Auram and Mentem (L19ish) for 28pvf.
- Q+L is 30 + 2fd; L is 11/15/19 + 2fd; Delivery takes about a year. (fd = fudge die = 1d3-2)

- Seafraid creates his Stone Throne of Haste, experimenting. He makes a double discovery, for 15xp in Craft: Stone and enough xp to raise one of the arts (Rego 7xp).
- Cieran recruits two apprentice scribes from the village. They will be trained by Dermot and Crimthann.
- Maine and Cyrus are allowed to stay as guests for the season, later to be accepted as probationary members when it is clear that Marcus does not return.
- Cieran proposes tighter security for the library and treasury, to install locks and keep an inventory to be checked regularly. The staff is not enthusiastic.
